Founded on April 1st, 2016, The Brass Kraken was built with one goal in mind: to create a true neighborhood pub for Poulsbo. Inspired by the legendary Nordic sea monster, our name reflects the town’s deep maritime roots, but our heart belongs to the community.

We’re bar-forward, scratch-kitchen driven, and proud to support local wherever possible. Whether you're stopping in for a pint, gathering with friends, or walking through our doors for the first time, our mission is simple:

We proudly feature Washington-based breweries, sourcing as close to Poulsbo as possible whenever possible. From rotating IPAs and seasonal releases to crisp pilsners, collaborative brews, and craft ciders, our selection evolves constantly to reflect what’s fresh, local, and worth pouring.

Of course, tradition matters too. In true pub fashion, you’ll always find a perfectly poured Guinness on draft alongside dependable classics like Rainier.

Don't sleep on this spot! Tasty French Dip sammy and crsipy tots. Great crew working the bar. I was there on a Saturday night and rocked so hard watching the Lumberjax. My wife and I danced our asses off!

Was in last Sunday to watch the Seahawks Game with my friends. They have lots of big screens and a supportive, lively atmosphere. Had an amazing Bloody Mary and indulged in their Weekend Brunch. Positively delicious!! We will be back for sure.

Whenever I am in Poulsbo I hit up the Kraken for their awesome tap beer selection and to sing the hell out of karaoke. So much fun and so many good local singers. If you haven't been then you GOTTA GO!

The Brass Kraken is one of our favorite late night spots in Poulsbo. We find ourselves there almost every weekend, especially in the summer with the deck. Such good spot with good people.
